Welcoming New Students in 2025, the Dean of the Faculty of Agriculture: “The Only Faculty in Eastern Indonesia Ranked 251-300 in the World University Rankings”

The Dean of the Faculty of Agriculture, Unhas, Prof. Dr. Ir. Rismaneswati, S.P., M.P., in her presentation revealed that based on the World University Ranking, the Faculty of Agriculture, Unhas, is ranked 251 to 300 in the world and is the only faculty in Eastern Indonesia and at Unhas that is included in that ranking.
However, she stated that the current state of global agriculture is quite worrying. The fact that many countries are experiencing instability means more research and innovation are needed to address this issue.
“Who is responsible for maintaining Indonesia’s food security? It’s all of you here, the golden agricultural generation that will ensure Indonesia remains food secure,” she explained.
The faculty-level PKKMB activities then continued with presentations from the Vice Deans, GPM-PR, and Integrity Zone on the systematics of their respective fields. The PKKMB concluded with an introduction to the Student Executive Board (BEM) and campus organizations.
