







The Faculty of Agriculture, Hasanuddin University, welcomed 658 new students to the Faculty-Level Introduction to Campus Life (PKKMB). The hybrid program took place in the GB Hall and Classroom on the second floor of the Faculty of Agriculture, from 8:00 a.m. WITA (Central Indonesian Time) until completion on Wednesday, August 12.
The activity began with the delivery of a report by Ir. Ayu Anisa Amir, S.P., M.Si as the Chair of the 2026 Faperta PKKMB Committee. Through her remarks, the Chair of the Committee gave a presentation regarding the number of students accepted in each study program and the correlation of the theme carried by this year’s PKKMB, namely ‘Planting Innovation, Harvesting Synergy, and Impacting the Nation.’
“PKKMB is not just a ceremonial activity to welcome new students, but also the first door for students to get to know academic life, campus culture, values and learning systems, student organizations, and the agricultural environment itself,” she continued.
The Dean of the Faculty of Agriculture, Hasanuddin University, Prof. Dr. Ir. Rismaneswati, S.P., M.P., welcomed the new students who competed with thousands of other applicants. She expressed her appreciation for the prospective students’ efforts to become new students.
“Welcome to future millionaires, future entrepreneurs, millennial farmers, future bureaucrats, and future successful people,” she said.
Prof. Risma urged students to commit throughout their time as students by building strong collaborations between lecturers, students, and educational staff to facilitate smooth learning activities. She added that organizational activities are also beneficial for motivating and stimulating students to socialize and innovate.
The faculty-level PKKMB activities continued with presentations on their respective fields by the Vice Dean, the Quality Assurance and Reputation Improvement Group, and the Integrity Zone within the Faculty of Agriculture. The PKKMB concluded with an introduction to the Student Executive Board (BEM) and campus organizations.
