






The Faculty of Agriculture, Hasanuddin University (Unhas), welcomed new students from the 2026 SDM Sawit Scholarships Program through the Introduction to Campus Life for New Students (PKKMB). The event, held in the Faculty of Agriculture Hall, provided an initial opportunity for students to become more familiar with the academic environment and prepare for their higher education on Wednesday (September 23).
The PKKMB program is attended by new students from various regions across Indonesia. The scholarship recipients will study at the Faculty of Agriculture, Hasanuddin University, as part of efforts to develop and improve the quality of human resources in the palm oil plantation sector. The presence of students from various regional backgrounds also contributes to the diversity of the academic environment, which is expected to enrich the learning experience and foster interaction between students.
Representing the Dean of the Faculty of Agriculture, Unhas, the Vice Dean for Academic and Student Affairs, Pipi Diansari, S.E., M.Si., Ph.D., delivered a welcome speech and greetings to all new students who received the 2026 SDM Scholarship Program. In her speech, she invited students to make their study period an opportunity to develop knowledge, skills, and experience that can be used as provisions in building a career and contributing to the agriculture and plantation sector.
“On behalf of the academic community of Hasanuddin University, welcome the sawit scholarship recipients to the Faculty of Agriculture family at Hasanuddin University,” she said.
Through this PKKMB activity, students are introduced to various aspects of academic life at the Faculty of Agriculture, Hasanuddin University, especially in their chosen Study Program, including the learning environment, facilities, academic and student services, as well as various activities that can support student development during their education.
The welcoming ceremony for new students continued the following day with a city tour of Makassar. This activity served as an introduction to the off-campus environment and provided students with an opportunity to learn about Makassar, the place they will live during their studies.
