The activity took place on the 1st Floor of the GB Faperta Hall from 13.30 WITA until finished, Wednesday (10/7). The activity began with the reading of the names of the graduates by the Vice Dean for Cooperation, Research and Innovation, Dr. Ir. Mahyuddin, M.Sc. Followed by the reading of the names of the best graduates by the Vice Dean for Academic and Student Affairs. On this occasion, Prof Salengke expressed his pride in the students who had officially received degrees from the Faculty of Agriculture, Unhas. According to him, those who attended were prospective millennial farmers who would become farmers who would apply their intelligence to the agricultural world.   “This moment is not the final moment, but the beginning moment for all of you. Hopefully the four years you have spent at Faperta will be a provision for you,” he said. Faculty of Agriculture, Unhas Receives Visit from SMAN 8 North Luwu, Introduces Faculty Profile Hasanuddin University’s Faculty of Agriculture received a visit from SMAN 8 North Luwu. A total of 33 students accompanied by 4 teachers visited Unhas University as a Study Tour. The visit was received directly by the Vice Dean I for Academic and Student Affairs. The activity took place at 13.30 WITA on the 2nd floor of the Faperta Assembly Room, Monday (24/06). Dr. rer. nat. Zainal, STP., M.FoodTech as Vice Dean I expressed his gratitude and appreciation for the visit. According to him, agriculture is an important field because it is a pillar for human survival. On that occasion, he introduced the profile of the Faculty of Agriculture to the students present. “The Faculty of Agriculture is divided into several departments which will focus on various aspects in the field of Agriculture, for example Soil Science which will study aspects of soil elements, fertility, or their suitability for various types of plants,” he explained. Dr. Zainal hopes that the students who attend will gain more knowledge about agriculture or even consider entering the agricultural major when they graduate. He explained that the application of technology in the agricultural sector requires young generations to advance Indonesian agriculture. Adji Firmansyah as the head of the accompanying teachers said that the purpose of the visit was so that students could see the university’s environment firsthand. He hopes that the visit can trigger student motivation, especially about how important research is for the future in various academic fields. “We also want to provide guidance and experience to students and use these two things as a reference that can later be used as provisions when entering university so that they will get used to it,” he added. Faculty of Agriculture, Hasanuddin University, Holds Technical Guidance (Bimtek) for the Acceleration of International Journal Manuscripts In order to support the publication of international standard academic journals, the Faculty of Agriculture, Unhas, is once again holding technical guidance (bimtek) entitled “Technical Guidance for the Acceleration of Scopus Journal Manuscripts, Faperta Unhas.” The activity took place starting at 13.00 WITA in the Innovate Room, 2nd floor, Hotel Unhas and Convention, Makassar, Saturday (11/5). The activity began with a welcoming speech by the Deputy Dean for Partnerships, Research and Innovation, Dr. Ir. Mahyuddin, M.Sc. He said that this activity was carried out as a form of accelerating the publication of manuscripts that were worthy of publication but still needed assistance. Mahyuddin said that. He said that the performance reported to Unhas was still far from half the target. “Faperta’s publication target can be seen from the performance contracts with university leaders, namely 193, the same as last year’s number. However, last year we reached 280 so our current target is at least 280,” he said. Mahyuddin further hopes that this activity can be held regularly in the future. The aim is that Faperta can create a good research climate with research output that can exist on the international stage. Dr. Muhammad Fuad Anshori, SP., M.Si as chairman of the committee expressed his appreciation for the enthusiasm of the participants who attended. He revealed that as many as 84 manuscripts had been registered for assistance. “Thank you for the support from various parties, we hope together that this activity can increase the potential of the agricultural sector itself,” he said.
