The Faculty of Agriculture, as an academic unit of Unhas, continued the implementation of the CATALYST Program, a program developed to strengthen the capacity of the academic community to produce and manage scientific publications. The activity took place on the 6th floor of the Faculty of Agriculture (27/8).
Prof. Ir. Andi Dirpan, S.TP., M.Si., Ph.D., as a resource person, explained that the activities carried out by the Directorate of Publication Management (DMP) of Hasanuddin University were part of an effort to build a more focused and sustainable publication ecosystem.
“The CATALYST program in various units, including the Faculty of Agriculture, is not only a training platform, but also provides a platform for producing quality scientific work with a clearer and faster flow,” he said.
Prof. Andi Dirpan also explained that continuous mentoring and collaboration will be provided, if necessary. Through this, participants will be guided to make publication part of their research, from initial ideas and research processing to drafting a manuscript that meets publication standards.
Dr. Muhammad Fuad Anshori, S.P., M.Si in his presentation revealed that the CATALYS Program aims to increase the quantity without sacrificing the quality of scientific publications at the Faculty of Agriculture.
“We hope that this program will foster academic habits that place publication as part of the research journey, not just the final stage of research,” he explained.
