Minister of Agriculture Dr. Ir. Andi Amran Sulaiman, MP gave a public lecture at the Faculty of Agriculture, Hasanuddin University, discussing Indonesian Food Growth. The activity started at 10.00 WITA on LT 6 Faperta, Friday (20/12).
The Dean of the Faculty of Agriculture, Hasanuddin University expressed his appreciation for the implementation of this activity. According to him, the presence of the Indonesian Minister of Agriculture can raise the enthusiasm of students to build their own agricultural entrepreneurship.
“We express our gratitude for the presence of the Minister of Agriculture who wants to share knowledge and experience with our students so that superior seeds for business people in the agricultural sector will grow in the future,” he said.
In his presentation, the Minister of Agriculture explained that pursuing success requires strong determination and a lot of knowledge. Reading books every day for hours is the key to success in expanding your knowledge. There are many aspects of agricultural food that still require the hands of farmers.
“We have a vision to make Indonesia the world’s rice granary. We continue to try to achieve this and now we can see the end of it,” the minister exclaimed.
According to him, Indonesian food results that were able to overcome the previous El Nino phenomenon can be clear proof that Indonesian food is invincible. Apart from that, currently Indonesian agriculture is also being prepared to face the next extreme climate.
Ending the activity, the Minister of Agriculture gave motivation to agricultural students to always try to deepen their knowledge. According to him, food agriculture and human life are something that always go hand in hand and cannot be separated.
