The Faculty of Agriculture, Hasanuddin University held a senate meeting in order to read the Draft Speech of the Professor Candidate for the Minister of Agriculture of the Republic of Indonesia, Dr. Ir. Andi Amran Sulaiman, MP. The activity took place on the 2nd floor of the Faperta Assembly Room starting at 9:00 WITA until finished, Wednesday (21/2).

Prof. Dr. Ir. Itji Diana Daud, M.S as Chair of the Faperta Senate expressed her gratitude for the enthusiasm of the senate members and invited guests who attended. Prof. Itji said that the reading of the draft speech that would be delivered by A.Amran Sulaiman was the operational standard for prospective professors as supporting documents that would be submitted to the Hasanuddin University academic senate.

“He is an intelligent and visionary person so we hope that innovation and work at the Faculty of Agriculture will not only be stored neatly in the library, but can be downstream,” she said.

Also present, the Chancellor of Hasanuddin University, Prof. Dr. Ir. Jamaluddin Jompa, M.Sc expressed his pride in the Minister of Agriculture for making Unhas proud. He hopes that the presence of new professor candidates can become a bridge for the works and innovations produced by Unhas lecturers to accelerate their development.

“This is a valuable opportunity, especially because Mr. Amran is a lecturer at the Unhas campus as well so that Unhas can contribute more optimally to the country,” he said.
