The Agricultural Engineering Study Program, Faperta Unhas held a Workshop “Re-Designing Case-Based and Project-Based Course Content for the Independent Campus Competition Program (PKKM)” and FGD “Development of Research Collaboration with PT QS-100 Independent Campus Competition Program (PKKM). Located on the 2nd floor of the Faperta Assembly Room, taking place from 09:15 WITA to 12.30 WITA (28-29/8).
Dean of the Faculty of Agriculture, Prof. Dr. Ir. Salengke welcomed the presence of guest speakers from the University of Technology (Tu Wien). He expressed his thanks to the guests who were willing to attend the invitation to the Workshop and FGD which was held over two days.
“Today we will focus on discussing the curriculum and tomorrow we will focus on research and innovation. “We will use this opportunity to move forward together and exchange information,” he said.
Furthermore, Prof. Salengke hopes that this activity can produce programs for the development of study programs in the future, both from the curriculum aspect and from the research and innovation aspect.
The activity continued with an introduction to the profile of the Agricultural Engineering Study Program by Diyah Yumeina, STP., M.Agr., Ph.D as Chair of the Agricultural Engineering Study Program. She explained about the concentrations included, the laboratory work system, and the accreditation of the Agricultural Engineering Study Program.
Prof. Dr.nat.techn. Heidi Halbwirth as guest speaker from the Institute of Chemical, Environmental and Bioscience Engineering Vienna University of Technology (Tu Wien), Austria appreciated the warm welcome from the Faculty of Agriculture, Unhas. Responding to Prof Salengke’s remarks and previous introduction to the study program, she also hoped that his visit this time could be an opportunity to share information, especially about the Unhas and Tu Wien Campus curriculum systems.
On this occasion, Prof. Heidi also introduced the profile of Tu Wien University. She said that although Tu Wien University has a relatively smaller area compared to Unhas, its location in the city center is strategic enough to attract many people.
“Our curriculum and teaching system is based on excellent research, so it provides various benefits for students studying on our campus,” she continued.
On the second day of the FGD, Deputy Dean for Partnerships, Research and Innovation, Dr. Ir. Mahyuddin, M.Sc said that with the Workshop and FGD there was an opportunity to access collaborative opportunities. He revealed that Unhas really supports collaboration which has great potential.
“We hope that cooperation and collaboration with foreign universities can produce various proposals and works on an international scale. “Hopefully the FGD conducted today can produce agreements and ideas that can be realized,” he explained.
