In order to welcoming the 66th Anniversary of Hasanuddin University, the Faculty of Agriculture signed a cooperation agreement (MoA) with Ara Village, Bulukumba Regency as a form of the Faculty of Agriculture’s dedication to the community in Village Development activities, Sunday (14/8/2022). 

The activity was opened with a speech by the Head of the Bulukumba Agriculture and Food Security Service, Thaiyeb Maningkasi. He welcomed the arrival of the Faculty of Agriculture Unhas and considered it a breath of fresh air for the development of Human Resources (HR) in utilizing the Natural Resources (NR) of Ara Village.

Dr. H. Amiruddin, M.Pd as the Head of Ara Village, thanked the Faculty of Agriculture Unhas for selecting Ara Village as a partner in cooperation. According to him, village development initiatives are necessary to keep the village’s potential as a tourist destination. The existence of the village development program and its implementation can educate the locals on how to manage their resources.

Dr. Ir. Rismaneswati, SP., M.Si, the deputy dean for planning, finances, and resources, was grateful for the welcoming gesture made by Ara Village and the village community, who were enthusiastic about the realization of the village development program. A written agreement was signed by members of the Faculty of Agriculture and the activity came to an end.
