Start-Up Introduction Workshop: Pioneering a Start-Up Business from Idea to Opportunity

The Faculty of Agriculture, Hasanuddin University, held a Startup Introduction Workshop themed “Pioneering a Startup from Idea to Opportunity.” The event aimed to introduce the basic concepts of entrepreneurship and how startups can compete in the business world. The event took place at the Unhas Hotel & Convention Center from 8:00 a.m. WITA (Central Indonesian Time) until completion on Wednesday, September 10.

The workshop was officially opened by the Vice Dean for Partnership, Research, Innovation, and Alumni, Prof. Dr. Sc.Agr., Tutik Kuswinanti, M.Sc. In her remarks, Prof. Tutik emphasized the importance of students having the ability to adapt to changing times, especially those related to the business world, considering that business profits depend on the products offered.

“Opportunities are always there, but sometimes we are unable to identify them,” she said.

She continued, expressing her hope that the event would spark innovative business ideas among workshop participants, especially students who were about to graduate. She also stated that this event would serve as a platform for students to develop their potential and develop the courage to start a business as beginners.

Participants enthusiastically participated in the entire workshop, which included discussion sessions, case studies, and practical exercises in developing simple business ideas. These activities encouraged students to think creatively, analyze market needs, and understand business opportunities that could be developed according to their individual interests and competencies. The workshop concluded with a question-and-answer session and a documentation session with the speakers and all participants.
