The Faculty of Agriculture, Hasanuddin University welcomes students participating in the Independent Student Exchange II (PMM2) program after previously being accepted at the university level on Monday, August 22, 2022.
Students participating in the PMM2 program were attended by students from various universities in the country. Dean of the Faculty of Agriculture, Prof. Dr. Ir. Salengke, M.Sc and the Vice Dean for Academic Affairs, Research and Innovation, Dr. rer.nat. Zainal, STP., M.FoodTech personally welcomed the PMM2 program students.

“Our experience so far is that in the lecture system, the information is usually one-way from lecturer to student, while we know that students’ methods of learning is various because it is easier for some people to understand when given a case, given the opportunity to analyze it themselves, and find a solution to the case,” he explained.
Not to forget, Prof. Salengke invited PMM2 students, especially those who visited Makassar for the first time, to learn about Bugis Makassar cultures and participate in the Unhas Anniversary event which will be held in September. He hopes that the student learning process while at Unhas is not limited to learning in the classroom but also outside the formal classroom.
Dr. Zainal also expressed his welcome and gratitude to the students participating in the PMM2 program for having made the choice to study at Unhas and study the Unhas environment in particular and Makassar City in general.
“We hope that while studying at the Faculty of Agriculture, you can add insight regarding how the Unhas campus is, how the city of Makassar is,” he said.
The Deputy Dean 1 also explained that in the first weeks, the student assistants participating in PMM2 would introduce places for students to shop for necessities while in Makassar as well as public transportation that can be used. He asked students not to hesitate to ask questions and ask for help from their companions, colleagues, or lecturers.
